I just spent the last three hours asleep, had a terrible headache

and maybe a few answers and surprsingly how many people want Hermione Dead.
Huntress: I think I answerd your question with the last chapter :)
GramaryeJG: this diverges wildly after Goblet of fire
to Anonymous: Will there be more chidren, = yes there will be
Will they be Draco's andHarry' s = no in a laer chapter you ill see how two Sidhe impregnate a brooder like Draco.
Harry's feelingsfor Draco will be complecated, btu first and foremost he is the Unseelie King
now for hte next chapter
After successfully avoiding Hermione, Ron had joined Harry and the others for the last hour of the journey to Hogwarts just in time to join the discussion on if they should hide their newfound skills.
“I think it is to much to expect to be able to keep the fact that I am king of the Unseelie to long, after all Dumbledore is going to keep pushing for control over me,” Harry winced as he was not looking forward to the spectacular row they would have, and if his luck ran true to form it would be tomorrow at the latest.
Seeing the wince Draco from his position on the floor between Harry’s legs that he was hugging close to his sides started to rub them in an effort to be comforting, “you really need to find out as soon as possible why Dumbledore is so fixated on you, I know he has never spent this amount of time trying to run any other orphans life, it is one of the things that infuriated the Slytherin’s so much, if we only knew you had no clue to your families station or status in our world, that’s why it was always so easy to slander you.”
Leaning back so he could look up into Harry’s face, “Not that I am saying that we would have backed off, after all the Slytherin’s take direction from our head of house, and he wishes he could torture you slowly before killing you,” Draco told him holding his eyes so he could tell he was sincere.
Sighing Harry closed his eyes for a moment, “that man has made my first years a living hell at this school and the staff and headmaster have done nothing to curb his vices only making the house rivalries worse.” He opened his eyes and looked out the window seeing that they were nearing Hogsmeade, “You know I am going to kill him don’t you? More than likely quite soon.”
Nodding his head even though Harry could only feel it moving against his legs Draco whispered, “I know, he is my godfather, and a horrible person that even my mother has refused to leave me alone with him. She is always worried when I am near him that he shall indulge in some of his more exotic cravings is what she has always warned me.”
The twins shuddered in horror, “How anyone could let that man near children is a mystery to me, what does Dumbledore see in the man.” Ron voiced what they were all thinking.
As the train slowed down to stop Harry motioned for the others to stand so they could leave, “In his own way Dumbledore is more of a threat than Voldemort would ever dream of being. The way I see it I will have two choices this term,” he told them as they entered the aisle and made their way to the door just as the train stopped, “I either leave and take you all with me or I kill him.”
No one said anything to that, after spending the best part of five months training with Harry and seeing a side of him no one else was allowed to they did not doubt in the slightest he would carry out his promise, as they had learned he did not make threats.
Walking towards the carriages Luna intercepted the group and bowing her head slightly so not to draw to much attention their way, “well met your Majesty. I talked to my father this summer and I must apologize for being so public with my greeting…” she trailed off as her eyes widened in shock as noticed Draco standing next to Harry so close they were touching. “Oh my…Oh my…Oh my, “Luna started to hyperventilate.
Blinking through the glamour covering his eyes Harry looked truly at Luna once more before moving in front of Draco blocking him from her view, “Luna has not your father taught you how to control your gift of true sight?” he wondered how she was still sane, though hearing the rumors about the girl he changed it to wondering how damaged her mind had become.
Shaking her head in the negative sadly, “Mother was the one with Fey blood not daddy, he has tried though he does not know what to do help me and runs all those fanciful stories that others make fun of in the hopes of finding the hidden fey so he might ask their help.”
Coming to a quick decision Harry looked around and saw a nearby carriage and motioned everyone to get in, it was a tight fit and motioning Luna to climb in he pointed to the floor, “Block the windows guys, while I help Luna out.”
“Ancient Powers that walked before,
Here my plea to save a child from insanity,”
Dropping all glamour’s and glowing softly with the power of creation Harry laid his hands along each side of Luna’s tear streaked face.
“The gift of control to earths child,
I give to you forevermore.”
Harry’s mind dove into Luna’s and sought out the damaged areas and pushed for her body to re-grow and connect in the way they were meant to be, as the scent of roses and leather almost overpowered the carriage lilac petals started to fall from the roof of the carriage as power starting to teach Luna how to control her gift.
Almost o the castle the glow faded and Harry sat back in his seat, eyes closed as he reapplied the glamour hiding his eyes as the others looked at him awe struck, never before had they ever thought they would be honored enough to witness creation at work.
Neville the first to move as Harry relaxed reached down and drew the sobbing girl to his side as Draco slid off the seat to sit near Harry’s legs, hand rubbing his stomach as the child inside seemed to react with welcome to the power that was brought up.
Conjuring a wet cloth and handing it to wipe her face Neville warned them, “We are almost to the doors best get ready.”
Luna quickly scrubbing her face smiled as she felt in control, no more ghostly visions of animals and strange beasts danced before her eyes, “Thank you your Majesty…thank you,” she whispered before bowing deeply and jumping out of the carriage as it came to a stop.
Smiling Harry opened his eyes and looked at his closest friends as they stared at him, “What?”
Ron shook his head, Harry would never change and he was glad for that otherwise he did not want to think of the possibilities, “Hermione would call it your saving people thing.”
Draco who was exiting the carriage behind the twins smiled, “And she would be wrong, it is a King doing what the should for his people.”
The group moved through the front doors amidst the other students returning for another year of sub standard learning and as they discussed they moved out of the way towards a small alcove Harry entered and placed his hands against the wall, hiding him from view, acting as if they were looking for someone to catch up with them.
XXX
Albus sitting at the head table felt a twinge in the wards, almost as if they had received a small boost of power before it settled back to normal, thinking it had to be a fluke discarded it from his mind as he went back to scanning the entering students for several faces and the face he was most interested in seeing right now, Harry Potter.
Watching Miss granger look around like she was searching for something he thought she must be searching for the same thing he was. Seeing red hair start to make it through the door he noticed out of the corner of his eye Miss ganger settle down, yet she still was searching, almost as if she had never found Harry on the train. Inwardly cringing at the thought that Harry had not returned He was momentarily distracted as Minerva set the sorting hat down on the stool and went to fetch the first years, this distraction would let Harry and company enter the great hall and find seats nearest the door un-noticed until much later.
Minerva entering the hall followed by a line of first years halted his searching as he paid attention to the sorting hat as it sorted this year’s crop of moldable minds.
Harry sat at the end of the table as he watched the sorting hat warning one and all that war was at the door and the day was fast approaching where the Wizarding world would have to answer for itself before falling silent, he watched as the staff shifted uncomfortably in their seats at hearing the dire warning and Dumbledore ignore them as he scanned the crowd before getting pulled back to the ceremony having missed the potent of doom.
Lifting his head and as sniffing the air Harry felt the rising sense of fear in the great hall as the staff fidgeted and the person they all had grown up hearing stories about how great he was and the ultimate in wisdom and protection ignore the warning. Leaning over to Neville “look at the younger years, pass the message down to help calm them before we have real problems.”
Minerva seeing Ron Weasley walking along the students talking to them started to scowl until she saw he was calming down upset students, she was against giving him prefect status as she felt it was Harry’s by right, but just maybe he was a good choice. She would have to have a word with the others later during the prefects meeting as no other prefects from her house had the foresight to calm the students down.
Some of the other houses seeing a fellow prefect walking around calming the students looked around their house table and in shame stood up to follow suit seeing no one else was doing anything got calm the younger members of their houses down.
Once again Dumbledore rose and welcomed back for another year the returning students and welcomed the new students before waving his hand above the table and speaking some nonsense words to impress the young minds making the food appear in front of them.
Finally near the end of the feast Albus stood once more, “now that we are all fed and watered I have a few start of the term announcements to make and an introduction to this years defense against the dark arts professor, Professor Deloris Umbridge appointed by our own ministry of magic.”
Clearing her throat and standing up the woman in question interrupted the headmaster, jumping the line so to speak, “Hmm…Hmm.”
Harry watched as most of the students in the hall had no idea what the woman was about, as they could not understand her carefully worded speech, meant to give the information in such a way that the listener would have no idea what was said. But it boiled down to a single fact, the ministry was attempting to control Hogwarts and the minds of its students.
Draco spoke up as the group turned towards Harry concern in their eyes as they realized the danger the woman posed, “Can you just kill her now Harry and save us some heartache or suffering.”
Those that heard the unidentified student laughed thinking he was joking about Harry’s luck with DADA professor’s and missed his reply, “I will think about it.”
Trying to keep from being seen as flustered Albus thanked Deloris and seeing a disturbance near the doors spotted the person he was hoping to see, Harry Potter, sighing in relief he sent the students off to bed with, “prefects please escort the first years to their dorms,” before turning and whispering to Minerva to send Harry to see him in his office and making his way out of the hall through the door behind the head table, that way assuring that he would arrive well before Harry.
Making her way through the crowd to the still seated group near the end of the Gryffindor table Minerva spotting Mr. Potter stopped nearby, “Mr. Potter the headmaster wishes to see you in his office right now.”
Frowning Harry looked around and noticed Hermione behind the professor, “did he say what this was about professor?” he tried to keep it respectful but he knew it would not matter.
“He did not see fit to inform me, so best hurry up curfew will be soon and you do not wish to be caught out of bounds,” Minerva stiffly nodded and started to turn away.
“One more question Professor,” Harry called out before she could get very far, waiting until she turned and faced him he asked, “The situation with the girls being allowed unrestricted access to our dorms that I brought to your attention last term,” he paused before finishing, “I can assume that it has been dealt with and appropriate measure put in place so they may no longer have access.”
Affronted Minerva pulled herself up straighter, “Mr. Potter we have long had a tradition of allowing the young ladies to police themselves, we have never found a reason to change the policy in the past or at the present.”
“I see,” Harry looked at her darkly before warning her, “I then must inform you to have Madam Pomfrey brush up on the counters for the blinding hex then.” Harry ignored her after saying that.
Outraged Minerva hissed out, “Detention Mr. Potter, for threatening harm to another student,” leaning over the table she scowled, “Even your father never managed to get a detention first night back.”
Ignoring the professor as if she did not matter Harry stood and placing a hand on Draco’s shoulder and with a motion of his other hand the group stood up and started out of the great hall, “I made no threat,” he offered as he walked out the door.
The group of six made their way up the stairs in the direction of Gryffindor tower and as they approached the tower Harry turned and started up an unused set of stairs that opened into a large common area, sitting down on one of the couches near the fireplace he sighed.
Fred and George looked around the room and peaking into the open arches off to the side finally asked, “Harry we thought we knew every inch of the castle, how come we have never seen those stairs or this room before?”
“There is a advanced potion lab in there we could have been using all these years,” Fred talked over his brothers question.
Remember when I told you I wanted to feel the energy surrounding Hogwarts to I was able to have the castle create these rooms so you would have never seen them before, there is a slight notice me not charm at the bottom of the stairs,” standing up he pointed to bookshelf between the fireplace and the window, “the same enchanted chain around your waist that allows you to travel by mirror will let you pass through this bookcase to the hidden rooms beyond.” Harry placed his hand on the bookshelf and it rippled before he walked through it.
Amazed Neville and Ron followed Draco as he also walked through the bookcase to the rooms beyond to find Harry standing in front of the wall that separated two doors. They watched as he removed the mirror from his inner pocket and enlarged it and stuck it to the wall. Satisfied it was where he wanted it he started to undress declaring, “These inner rooms are clothes free zones.” Sensing Draco’s need he pointed to another door off to the side, “Loo is through there Draco.”
Draping his shirt over the end of one of the couches he sat down and started to unlace his boots before removing the tight leather pants and adding them to the pile, Harry stretched and smile, “Much better.” Everyone was laughing when the now naked Draco walked out of the bathroom looking much more relaxed.
“Curfew will be here shortly and you need to go back to the dorm,” Harry told them as he pulled Draco in close. “Two things before you go,” he told them before they had a chance to leave, “The first is feel free to set up shop in the outer room, “
Looking very serious Harry gazed at each one of them making sure they each knew how serious it was before pointing to the mirror, “if anything should happen and we need to evacuate or I order you to, use that mirror to travel back to the Sithen taking Draco with you. On the other side contact my cousin and he will send help, but under no circumstances once Draco is safely through the mirror are you to leave his unprotected.”
Returning his serious look Ron spoke for the group, “We won’t let you down Harry, you can count on us.”
Fred and George split off from the other two saying they had a few things to do leaving Ron and Neville to walk through the portrait alone. Greeting a few casual friends from the house Ron sat near Neville, sitting in Harry’s usual place near the fireplace, they were just relaxing and talking when Hermione ruined it by stomping up. “Ron where have you been, we were supposed to escort the first years back to the dorms. I just knew you would not take being a prefect seriously…”
Holding up his hand and clearing his throat Neville stared at the girl coldly, Merlin help him if his Gran listed any girls this pushy, “Ron was busy doing other duties, and where were you during the feast as Ron spent all the time reassuring the younger years?”
Waving it off as trivial Hermione sat down, “I am sure the other prefects had things well in hand, it was more important to listen to what Professor Umbridge had to say, did you hear what she was saying?”
Having come over to talk to Ron about Quidditch tryouts and if he knew were Harry was Katie broke in, “I am not sure what you think you know Hermione, but the only Gryffindor prefect tonight that was helping calm things down was Ron.”
“Huffing at being told she was wrong Hermione ignored the other girl, “Where’s Harry been all summer, do you know what the headmaster wants?”
Shaking his head Ron just wanted to go to bed and following Neville’s subtle pointing noticed his sister perking up at the mention of Harry’s name, he would have to remember to warn him first thing in the morning, “Dumbledore wants something he is never going to get,” he muttered before raising his voice, “Harry spent a very enjoyable summer at a safe place, why it’s not like it is any of our business where he spends his summer at.”
Hissing as she leaned forward Hermione glared at her friend, “Ron, the headmaster is only looking out for Harry’s best interests, he wants to make sure he is safe.”
Neville stood up as he was tired and wanted to get to be, “Hermione, it’s not the headmasters job to do that, after all he is not Harry’s guardian,” looking over his shoulder as he stopped at the bottom of the steps and took his wand out pointing it at the wall and placing a sign there without saying any spells or even looking, “I find it very strange that Harry would be singled out by the headmaster like this and not any of the other orphans that he ignores.”
Tired Ron stood up and ignored Hermione standing to follow him, “Hermione you are on very thin ice where Harry is concerned right now, I don’t think you want to go pushing him about anything, you might not like what happens if you do.”
Hermione stood lost in thought as she read the sign at the bottom of the steps leading up to the boys dorms, Neville had conjured it and stuck it to the wall wordlessly, silent magic was some of the most difficult to master, how in the name of Merlin did someone who had so much trouble being able to cast a levitation charm do something so advanced.

Sidhe Rising ch 14 NaNo 2007
Well last night before going ot bed I did it I broke the 50K word finish line, of course it will only be official when this blog is posted and I got so caught up writing at work today that I will post an extra chapter tonight when I get home.
now this chapter more than likely will be pulled into another when the final re-write occurs but it was at a natural stopping point

Standing in the wardrobe Harry looked around for a sweater that Draco could wear, finding it he handed it over before sitting down and lacing up the knee high leather boots over his skin tight leather pants, he had come to lover the feel of skin tight leather on his body, if he was forced to wear cloths he was going to make sure it was as skin tight, smirking he could not wait to see how many people he made uncomfortable this year. Pulling two traveling cloaks off the rack he fastened one around Draco’s neck before fastening the one he chose for himself. Checking his reflection in the mirror he decided it would do.
Motioning Draco to follow him he left the ward robe and bent over and picked up the shrunken mirror and placed it in an inside pocket of his cloak and pulling Draco close placed the palm of his hand on the mirror leading to Sirius’s house. Waiting for the ripples to start Harry let his hand fall from Draco’s shoulder and rub the side of his belly, smiling when he felt his son kick. Mirror full of ripples “It’s time Draco, let’s get a move on, chances are the Weasley’s will be late as usual.”
Stepping out of the mirror into the Library at Black Cavern Harry looked around and spotted Remus coming through the door, “hey Remus where’s Sirius?”
Growling out, “the flea bitten mutt went ahead to Kings Cross to play watch bird.” Remus paced into the room and dropped several items on the table.
“Watch bird?” Draco asked as he looked towards harry, “Is cousin Sirius a bird Animagus then?”
Smirking, “NO, Sirius is a dog Animagus, back in seventh year McGonagall had gotten suspicious that the animals she had seen frolicking around too many times might be students, so that Yule break Sirius found this neat passage in one of the books in this library that stated that if an Animagus was transfigured into another animal they would not show up on the standard revealing spell and would be immune from being forced out of form,” Laughing Remus finished the story, “drove her bonkers trying to figure it out, and the look on her face when she hit James with the Animagus reversal was priceless.”
“Let me show you to the Floo room, you can only Apparate out by touching the fireplace, another strange security feature of the way over paranoid Black family,” Remus suggested as he walked to the door, along the way he told them what he had learned of the hidden village sized house meant to house the extended family during the times of the crusade and purgings.
Entering the small room Harry reached out and felt the energy surrounding him and tweaked it slightly so it would always recognize any Sidhe and give them total control of the wards allowing them entry in and out, later on he would explain what he did to Sirius and apologize if necessary, but today and for the immediate future he needed a back door in place just in case the Black Cavern was ever breached.
“Do you have everything Draco?” Remus asked as he pulled him in tight for side along Apparation. Receiving a nod from him Remus placed his hand on the fireplace and looking at Harry told him, “The floo destination is Kings Cross,” before Apparating the two of them towards their destination with a loud crack.
Not about to take that menace known as Floo travel, he hated the spinning and all the soot, Harry felt around for the energy connection through the floo network leading to Kings Cross and finding it he pulled at it and stepped into the glowing mass of energy called up by his will to appear a blink later in silence just one side of the fireplace that housed the floo.
Remus who had been looking at the floo in the hopes of seeing Harry tumble out as he always did watched in amazement as he popped into view several steps away from the fireplace, walking over with Draco in front of him he was about to ask how Harry pulled this new feat off he was interrupted with the Arrival of Neville and his formidable grandmother.
Neville who had greatly changed from the pudgy teen he was before the summer into the striking strong person in front of them now approached Harry and introduced his grandmother to him, “Gran this is Prince Harry, or as the press has been calling him the boy who is unbalanced,” he smirked.
Glancing around quickly and not seeing anyone nearby he cast a fast glare at his friend before acknowledging the woman, “hello Mrs. Longbottom it is nice to finally meet you,” Harry held out his hand in greeting.
Taking the hand in return Augusta bowed her head slightly, “It is nice to finally meet you Harry, I must apologize for my grandson, he seems to have grown a wicked sense of humor this summer under your cousin’s tutelage, though I must also include my thanks to you for all the help you have given my grandson.”
Smiling at Neville’s Gran, and relieved she thought he was joking by calling him a prince Harry vowed to corner his friend for a session of evil starring before asking him why he let that slip, “Neville’s my friend, and friends help each other, my cousin was already planning on teaching me this summer and it was not much of a stretch to add in a couple extra people, actually it helped in the long run having someone to practice on.” Harry was quite satisfied with himself seeing the pain flash across his friends face as he was reminded of all the times he played target this summer.
“Be that as it may you still have my thanks, and as I am also doing some extra work for my grandson this fall and it is just that easy to add you to the list, may I offer my services on procuring a list of suitable candidates to date and possibly more?” Augusta offered, pleased that Neville had almost got away with the blush from embarrassment, though if one knew where to look, inwardly she was laughing.
Cringing on the inside Harry promised to get retribution on Neville and maybe his grandmother also for embarrassing him, calmly as not showing any signs of embarrassment ‘Thank you for the offer Mrs. Longbottom but my cousin has already taken that task to heart and is in the search of someone of the proper station for me to meet.”
Truly mortified Neville moved in front of his grandmother “Gran I think we need to get to the train now, to make sure we get the car we are meeting Ron at.” Neville quickly tried to derail any further conversation between the two of them, know his Gran and Harry if the other purebloods heard what they would devolve into he would not be able to show his face in the great hall, “Professor Lupin is was nice seeing you again,” Pulling on the Glamour charmed Draco he called out, “Coming Harry.”
Blinking as Neville dragged Draco off he smiled then laughed, “I think Neville was scared that we would embarrass him to no end Mrs. Longbottom.” Waving at Remus he started towards the train leaving the laughing adults behind him.
Catching sight of Auror’s walking through the crowd checking students out evidently looking for someone he turned his head at the woofing caw of a bird which was pointing its wing towards a tall blond aristocrat near the front of the train. Letting Sirius know he heard by nodding his head Harry frowned when he saw how rough some of the Auror’s were being to the students and picked up the pace anger starting to settle in. He would kill the first person you harmed his Draco, catching up to Neville and Draco who had seen what was going on and slowing down, Neville took one look at Harry’s face and caught the pulsing glow that flickered several times around him and groaned.
Putting Draco between Harry and himself Neville caught the look of recognition from the tall black Auror when he looked in Harry’s direction, must be a member of the order he thought. Mimicking Harry’s movement by moving closer to Draco as the Auror stepped close Neville blocked the Auror’s arm as he made to push them apart, “Really are you being rude to everyone or only purebloods?” Neville ground out pompously.
“Now see here kid, move out of the way, you re interfering with Auror business,” The wizard in Auror robes snapped back.
By this time the Weasley’s had arrived and seeing what was going on the twins thinking quickly threw several filibusters in the trash receptacle and along with Ron surrounded Draco and Harry and in the Chaos the whole group escaped the Auror and boarded the train.
Sighing in relief “Fred, George I take it back the joke shop will be darned useful, “Ron opened the door to the compartment as he told his brothers this.
Draco sat on the floor between Harry’s legs, with all the rest piling in between Harry and him and the door, better protected that way and garnering what comfort he could as the students boarded the train, rushing around banging the doors open as they looked for their friends.
Pinning his prefects badge to his robe as the train started to leave the station Ron stood up, “harry just so you know Hermione is the other fifth year prefect, and she spent the last two weeks at the Burrow with Ginny, she is in a right huff not being able to talk to you and finding out you disappeared this summer, we told her that I was attending a special camp this summer, and of course the twins were never mentioned, so she is miffed that she could not go and expects me to teach her what I learned.”
“What dear Ronnie kin’s is trying to say is that dear Hermione is a pain in the…” Fred started but had to stop when George whacked him upside the head and took over the conversation, “Let’s just say that she outwore her welcome where the Weasley men are concerned and leave it at that Fred.”
Since they were occupying the compartment next to the prefect’s carriage Hermione watched as Ron walked out of one of the compartments and had turned and was talking to those inside, “There you are Ron, why didn’t you come to our compartment, I mean really you would think that being a prefect you would learn some responsibility…”
Jumping slightly at hearing the voice belonging to the person they were talking about Ron slammed the compartment door shut and twisted around, “sorry Hermione I was busy visiting a few friends and decided to go straight to the prefects meeting,” Ron waited for her to walk up to him back to the compartment door even though the blinds had been pulled, luckily she did not notice that he was guarding the door as they continued to walk down the aisle towards the front of the car.
An hour later the compartment door slid open slightly stopping all conversation and a note was thrown in as the door was quietly closed, they all could hear Hermione’s voice droning on about prefect duties and homework. Thankfully the voice was moving away from them.
Fed picking up the note since he was closest muttered, “She is going to be absolutely bonkers this term,” as he looked at the scrawl on the front of the note and then started to read it out loud. “Harry, just so you know no mention was made of Draco being missing this summer, though the head boy seemed very upset that he did not show up as he was named prefect this year. Hermione and I have prefect patrol for the next hour and I will try to sneak away, luckily we will not be patrolling this section of the train.”
Laughing, “p.s. do you think mum will be mad if I hex her,” Fred read the postscript before handing the letter to be passed on to Harry.
Reading the letter that Harry dropped in his lap Draco commented, “this is so not going to be pretty or end nicely is it?” After the comment Harry sat there running his hands through Draco’s hair as he tried to decide what he was going to do.
XXX
Hearing a knock at his door Katre looked up and noticed Deven standing there nervously, “Come in Deven, what can I do for you?”
Briskly striding the few steps needed to come into the office Deven went down to one knee head bowed, “My King.”
Frowning slightly as one of the first he had brought back into their heritage after Harry knelt there all silent and formal he tried to think what by the ancients he could want that would need for him to be so formal, “Rise Deven,” pointing to the chair next to the desk Katre simply told him to sit, “what’s on your mind, it must be something pretty important that you would go so formal.”
Fidgeting slightly and trying to find the words that would cause the least amount of pain if he screwed this up Deven haltingly spoke, “My king I would beseech thee to allow me to take a squad to protect Harry,” wincing his face up in pain he tried again, “Excuse my liege I meant to say to protect the King of the Unseelie, as until he has the time to rebuild the Sidhe in his court he is vulnerable.”
Katre studied the other as he took in the words being spoken and those not, he had noticed the past few months how close Harry and Deven had become and had hoped that one of them would take the first step to explore whether what was building could be something more permanent, Harry did after all need a strong consort to help him rule, a Sidhe that would be his anchor against the rage that all un-bonded Sidhe fell into form time to time. “Cut the formal crap Deven and tell me truly your wishes.”
Very nervous and looking liked a cage animal trying to find an escape route Deven finally slumped down in the chair in defeat, “My King, I…I feel a pull at my heart that leads to the King of the Unseelie…I…”
Taking some pity on the other Katre smiled, “you feel a pull like part of you is missing and is reaching for the missing piece.” He stated before standing up slowly so the other did not think he was about to attack, “I did not expect this to happen to any of the Sidhe so soon,” he said as he sat on the edge of the desk a hands breath away from the young man cringing in the chair.
“A mate bond is attempting to form between you and Harry,” Katre smiled at that thought as Deven sat up in shock. “I suppose that I should have expected that to happen sooner or later as our number practically doubles every day.”
“You are not angry with me?” Deven questioned like a small child finding out he was not about to be punished after all.
Beaming, smile so bright it could power a dozen planets Katre laughed, “Angry, ancients forbid, I am pleased and overjoyed. It means our people truly have come back if mate bonds are starting to form.”
Frowning Katre stood up and walked to the window overlooking the gardens, “There is a small problem though,” how best to fix this he thought.
Braver now that he knew he would not be rejected or punished for wishing to leave the High Court Deven broke in, “Small problem Sir?”
Turning back with a tired look in his eyes but a workable plan, ‘Yes Deven, remember back to the day we helped Harry move into his Sithen?” waiting for the nod of agreement before continuing, “I left the Sithen after supper and before we returned home and felt for the Calling.”
Seeing the confusion on Deven’s face Katre tried to put it into words the other could understand, “The Calling is a way for those of royal blood to send out and feel those Sidhe in the world, a way we can always know where are people are and if they are in trouble. In times past other Kings and Queens ignored and gave up this gift as they lost sight of why they ruled, the powers removed the gift lest it be abused.”
Sitting down in his chair might as well be comfortable for this part he thought, “I only felt, maybe twenty individuals in that whole world. In the back of my mind I had always hoped Harry would give up his world and gather those friends he thought were worthy and take up his court in our world.” Katre shook his head in amusement as he thought, he had dreamed of protecting Harry from those that had done so much to hurt him in his world that he had momentarily almost fallen into the trap others through time had. After all Harry was his own man and a King in his own right.
Deven was starting to panic slightly at hearing how few of the Sidhe had survived in Harry’s world, before he could let the panic take hold he was brought out of his thoughts as his King started to give commands.
“Contact Donnelley and tell him to step up recruitment efforts, tell him to center his searches on those with battle and healing skills.” Katre started to write from the pad he pulled out of his desk, trying to figure the best timetable, “find and train a second in command to take your place as weapons master,” looking up to catch the others eyes he told him, “make sure that we have several hundred ready at a moments notice to invade the area around where Harry is staying at that school if he calls us for help,” Katre sneered at the word school as he thought it certainly was not what he would call a school.
“I will talk to Harry tonight when he checks in and inform him the first fifty of the volunteers who wish to join his court shall be arriving in two weeks time, after that by Yule we shall have more ready to settle in his world,” Katre smiled as he stood up signaling the end of the interview, “After all unlike his world I have thousands in this that can have their heritage awoken.”
now this chapter more than likely will be pulled into another when the final re-write occurs but it was at a natural stopping point
